Maximum Escape is one of the big players in Barcelona. Very well known and very popular. Currently there are 8 different Escape Games in the two branches, which are not far apart and very central in Barcelona (about 5 minutes walk from Plaça de Catalunya). There is certainly something for every taste. As a former Claustrophobia offshoot, one can also clearly recognize the handwriting of the newer, self-developed rooms.
As it is tradition with Maximum Escape, the GM slips into a suitable costume for the briefing and briefly explains the story and the assignment.
We also found a very professional and impressive set design on Vault 27. In the 90-minute end-time scenario they don’t spill but pad. The immersion is very good. The metallic walls and floors create a dark and oppressive atmosphere and immerse you very well in the apocalyptic adventure. Action is the order of the day here! During the game you have to deal with heavy, indestructible objects, improvise, repair, fight. Lots of technique and spectacular mechanisms.
Even if the puzzles are not all highlights, it’s really fun!
