Thought you’d like another horror story…

A travesty of a game from start to finish. First they forgot our booking, so after a call to the US they suddenly opened the zoom room and we went straight into the room, no briefing or apology… just here you all are in the room…. now what do you want me to do?

We managed to get a introduction/briefing from a sorting hat about 10 minutes into the game, but the sorting hat was up high and the sound didn’t travel well, so we heard little and guessed the rest. At first glance the decor looks impressive but as you investigate the room properly it wasn’t quite as well finished as it first appeared.

The poor girl who was our GM/Avatar (she was VERY young!) was completely out of her depth, she didn’t know the room and was using a print out sheet to give us codes for the inventory. I think playing the room was a first for her too.

Unfortunately it didn’t get any better as the puzzles are uninspired and are not very well structured, and what little fun to be had in them was stomped on my the GM who didn’t want to be there and couldn’t be bothered to actually do what was asked, everything was a chore. In all I think there was five puzzles in there and a couple of moving things to the right place. Such a shame as the room could be great with some decent staff training, better signposting and some attention to detail, but that wasn’t to be for us…. we couldn’t get out of there fast enough.
