In order to maximize our escaping time during the trip, we booked this room “after hours” right after Sleepy Hollow, which is located (literally) next door. This room was made by the same company (3d games) which also created the room just mentioned and which has been very busy this year finishing new experiences Rebellion and The Temple of Fire, which appear to be very promising.

The hive was one of the last rooms added to our playing list and I am glad we got to play it, as it ended up being quite an exciting adventure. The room is inspired by “Resident Evil” and the main setting is a typical lab, which is not very surprising and/or particularly remarkable, but they managed to create a unique game by incorporating several things that make the overall experience really interesting: some nice decorations details, as well as exciting technical gadgets, a little role-playing component for the players, which was fun and contributed to the tension that was triggered at the right moments. Without being a really scary game, they really managed to pep up a lab-based room and create some tension.

On top of that it is not an easy game. Following the Northern tradition, to call it somehow, there was a substantial number of riddles and only through splitting and parallel working we were able to progress through the room. We managed to escape in the last second, yes, literally the last second and we were received, not only by the game master, but a whole team of people that had assembled and pretty much were placing bets, whether we were going to make it out on time. Without any doubt that very close finale contributed to exiting the room in an adrenaline rush and turned into a memorable moment of our trip.
