With “THE BEAST”, Emergency Exit Escape Rooms came up with an Escape Adventure that is second to none.
And it starts, even before it starts: We were asked to enter the zoom-connection 15 minutes before scheduled and it was the first time, that even these 15 minutes were nicely filled with videos, music and last informations. And while we thought we couldn’t get more excited, a countdown started and the music increased, right before 90 minutes of full entertainment took place..Again, we were lucky to meet Ronnie (aka John) and Liam (the man behind the camera) in the old manor and were asked to help them to get out of that demonish setting. The dark atmosphere and furnishing of the rooms were perfectly fitting and Ronnie, who played convincingly nervous, completed the whole story nicely. I still like the fact that you can see your host during the entire game and not just his view of the room, but of course that means double manpower. The puzzles were nice and clever and you for sure will experience some exciting and truly surprising moments.. on and beside your screen.
Already the first chapter of Emergency Exit Escape Rooms “THE EXORCIST” (their first online escape room) was a combination of cinematic video sequences and live parts. But with “THE BEAST” it got even bigger! At some points you couldn’t even tell if it was real or not, due to the perfect mix of videos and live views that have contributed incredibly to the overall experience. Everything was so well balanced and at the point: The sound effects, the music, the videos and their quality, the riddles, the story, the twists.. We all agreed that this room was the first where the inroom music really worked. AND you don’t have to keep an eye on an overflowing inventory as you only need zoom to be a part of it.
THE BEAST is only playable online and takes place in the rooms of even two of their live adventures: The POLTERGEIST and CONJURE.For me it’s clear: After playing with THE BEAST it’s difficult to find anything better! ..if not impossible.
