The Bar
This is a combination of scavenger hunt and escapegame, for which you should plan a total of at least 150 minutes.
The Outside Part is about answering a series of questions equipped with a compass ?, notes and paper ?, which finally reveal the coordinates of the secret bar. This took us about 1.5 hours and we were a bit exhausted afterwards.
The following part, which takes place after a short breather, is then a rather classic Escape Room, with the peculiarity that he is first of all in a real bar with drinks, and secondly a bartender is present all the time, who provides you with drinks but, if required, also with hints. By the way, the help system is made quite funny. The players themselves are responsible for the quality of the hints by interacting with the barkeeper in a certain way. But at this point I don’t want to give more advice.
Since I’m not a big fan of outdoor activities (treasure hunts, geocaching etc.), the first part has now less appealed to me. In that time I would have rather played another ER ?. But there are certainly people who like to explore the city of Maastricht in a playful way. Game recommendation: 2-4 persons.
