One Hour Charonne offers the two themes Lost Asylum (Fear) and the Hangover game Very Bad Night (Humor). In the second location, not far away in Voltaire, there is also the Slaugtherhouse (also Fear).

With drinks and goodies, the game master let us dive into the story with a very detailed introduction. Lost Asylum takes place in an abandoned psychiatric hospital. The scenario differs in some game elements from usual escape games. The set (dim light, furniture that has seen better times, dirt) looked very authentic and realistic. Sound and music underline the atmosphere appropriately. A small deficiency for me were the bad lighting conditions at the beginning of the game. There are few rules! You are allowed to touch everything and create mess at will. The puzzles are fitting to the theme, relatively linear and for a creepy room, partly not quite easy, which underlines the quite low success rate. For some puzzles good teamwork is required. The game is varied. There are jumpscares, funny situations, surprises and twists.

Furthermore, there are two really cool features in Lost Asylum. On the one hand a person, who has already played this room, can assist as a guest player in a further booking, for example from friends, which is best done without their knowledge. Thanks, Magritte, for this candy! We had not expected that. On the other hand, the option is offered that one person acts as a traitor during the game, which makes the whole thing very interesting for teams of three or more (depending on the acting talent of the schemer), because it simply stirs up mistrust towards the other players. I was in the dark until the end and suspected Maria and Victor in turn.

I had a very pleasant stay in the psychiatric hospital ?.
Game recommendation 3-4 persons.
