A boutique for bridal fashions is the extraordinary setting of Escape One Algarve’s newest Real Live Room “Final Call”. A comedic horror theme about zombies and the life-saving boarding ticket for the last flight to safety. This is our 3rd virtual visit to the provider from Portimão. Probably a sign that we like it.

The Telescape Inventory known to us has got a facelift! The video stream, which came over Zoom so far, is now integrated in Telescape. The conference software is only used for audio communication. In addition, the inventory has a 360° view and an item list on the left-hand side, which can be used to easily switch between the already collected objects. The colored cursors show what the players are currently doing. Newly found items are announced by an acoustic signal and are immediately visible for everyone. It is possible to open the inventory on two screens, so that you have everything in view at any time (live stream of the avatar, 360° view, item list) and can play comfortable.

There are interesting effects in the room as well as some nice gimmicks in the virtual world that connect the clickable areas with the live stream. Maybe we played around with them too much and got distracted? Otherwise I cannot explain to myself that in the end we missed a few seconds to successfully complete our mission. Who knows, maybe we would not have seen the strong final of the game if it had a positive end.

Even though I’m not a big fan of live video escape games with a big inventory part, I liked this one. Because of the mostly non-linear puzzle structure, we were also busy with five players. We had fun and uhhhhm R.I.P. David! – It wasn’t our fault, was it?
