Journeying through a rift in time, we land at the end of an unused trail. Strange runes illuminate as we walk towards a locked hut. We’re told something powerful resides here, or once did. But something went wrong, and they have sent us to restore the balance.

The forest clearing before the cabin is a lovely visual delight. Stepping through the rift felt like arriving somewhere else, I didn’t need to use much imagination at all. The pleasing aesthetic continues into the cabin, creating a genuine rustic feeling. Somebody could actually live here, if only they could put up the wise-cracking skull.

The puzzles hold true to the theme, blending into the environment and feeling like they belong. They have a decent variety, though perhaps with a bit too much searching. Difficulty-wise, I think we made it through easily enough. We stumbled mostly at the entry puzzle for what I’d consider a technical issue.

And, ew, gross, the toilet. Well done.

Yarrums Magische Hütte is an atmospheric delight. The decorations, combined with lighting and sound, create a splendid ambience. I think they could improve the puzzles, but as-is, it’s still a room worth visiting. It was a pleasant start to our day.
