Why aren’t hotels ever just a nice and calm experience? Why can’t we, for once, just have a nice rest?

Hotel Hello tells the story of a hotel that is run by two siblings after their mother has passed. The game starts from a very nice and slightly creepy introduction, which found a neat way to include all of the game’s rules into the story, without any of them feeling too out of place.

I think that my personal mistake was coming into this room thinking that it is about to be a horror room. In fact, it’s really isn’t much more than creepy, maybe even less.

The puzzles in the room are not bad, and the hotel decor is nice, but I really do think that my expectations, combined with the amount of massive horror rooms we played on the trip, made it all feel slightly lacking.

That being said, if you do come with the right expectations – a nice creepy room that is a few years old, that doesn’t attempt to compete against any of the huge and extravagant rooms that can be found in the country – you will have a very nice experience.
