Take a step back to the golden days of good old boys, refined entertainment, and organized crime. Deep undercover, we’re about to break the big case, to put family Moretta behind bars. Alas, they’re on to us. We have the one last chance and we’d better be quick about.

The environment of “Das Erbe der Morettas” is wonderful. For moments I felt transported in time. Construction, decorations, and layout blend to create a convincing atmosphere. It’s easy to get lost in the aesthetics while the others go about solving the puzzles.

Thinking back, I’m not sure how many puzzles there were to solve. Though it wasn’t many, they were layered, using several items and aspects of the environment. Our team of four had it easily covered. One of us solved the song puzzle from his own memory — but don’t fret, you can find the solution completely in-game.

In the middle of this adventure is a strange ball contraption. Though a fun dexterity game, it is a bit jarring thematically. I’ll shrug my shoulders at this one.

Entering the warehouse was truly a delight. It felt packed with crates and illicit merchandise. Wandering about the nooks and crannies is exhilarating… at least until it’s not. There’s a point of improvement here, somehow the room needs to highlight points of interest. Our fun teetered on frustration as, even with a hint, we had trouble locating some items.

Visually, “Das Erbe der Morettas”, is at the top of its class. The puzzles, however, don’t quite live up to that standard; I feel as though with some tweaking it could be a splendid room.
